Spring showers brings good news for buyers! With a spring market comes more listings, this means one of two things. One, you will have more options to view in your price range, and two, you will see less competition for that reason alone.
I was posed with a few questions from buyers this weekend that I'd like to publicly address. With less competition I am seeing more listings sit on the market without offers, Yes. Without offers. This is fantastic news as it means we are seeing less and less multiple offer situations that push purchase prices $40,000-$75,000 over ask. So FAQ, is the market slowing down? Will we see a "crash"?
Short answer is No. However, Spring time bringing more listings is resulting in a calm, prices are still increasing and there is still a large generation of mainland retirees looking to move to the Island. The market is still hot, it is just a great time to get aggressive with decisions and move into the market. The big wheel is still turning, and now is the time to get on it this Spring, and watch your investment start to appreciate very quickly.
