Summer has arrived! This summer we are seeing a lot more inventory on the market. This means that the Seller's market we have seen for the past several years has come to an end. Buyer's Market means purchasers have the option to see more listings, assess their decision making and have condition periods. Sellers are now seeing competition, our Spring Market Update had 134 listings - few months later we are now at 214 Single Family Detached on the market!
With the combination of Interest rates rising and an increase of inventory, prices have begun to decrease. However, it is still imperative to view and inquire about something you are interested in right away in order to be notified if it sees a reduction in price.
Now is a great time to find a home with less competition and take your time with due diligence to move into the market. As summer is a busy time for both buyers and sellers, we tend to see activity pick up again in the fall.
